"Most wearables tell you what.
We focus on why and how."

You wake up tired. You feel dry mouth. Maybe you snore. RespireLabs focuses on breathing behavior: mouth breathing can be linked to dry mouth and morning headaches. It affects sleep quality.

One habit loop.

Detect, understand, practice, and measure progress.

1

Detect

Start with the app. We detect mouth breathing patterns using your phone microphone.

2

Understand

Review your session summaries. Track your breathing patterns over time and see how they change.

3

Practice

Follow short guided exercises. Use reminders and streaks to build nasal breathing consistency.

4

Measure

Upgrade to deeper night insights with the innovative Smart Mouth Tape wearable.

Two products. One goal.

Built specifically around mouth vs. nasal breathing awareness.

RespireLabs App

Get real-time prompts and session summaries. Follow short guided exercises to build nasal breathing habitsβ€”all from your phone.

Privacy by design.

Our AI converts breathing sounds into MEL-spectrograms β€” visual representations of audio that cannot be reversed. We never listen to the sounds in your bedroom, and no audio is stored. Your data never leaves your device without consent.

Why it matters

Benefits of nasal breathing.

The nose performs over 30 functions. Switching from mouth to nose breathing can positively impact multiple areas of your health and wellbeing.

Deeper sleep 1

Nasal breathing improves oxygen saturation and contributes to more restful sleep cycles.

Better oral health 2

Breathing through the nose keeps the mouth moist, which may help support dental and gum health.

More energy 3

Quality sleep from proper breathing may help you wake up feeling more refreshed and alert.

Natural air filtering 4

Your nose filters, warms, and humidifies air before it reaches your lungs, mouth breathing bypasses this.

Reduced snoring 5

Nasal breathing keeps the airway more stable, which may help reduce snoring intensity and frequency.

Better focus 6

Improved sleep quality from nasal breathing may contribute to sharper daytime concentration and mental clarity.

Common questions.

Quick answers to the most asked questions.

What is RespireLabs?
RespireLabs is a breathing coach (mobile app + wearable concept) designed to reduce mouth breathing and build healthier nasal breathing habits.
Is RespireLabs a medical device?
No. RespireLabs is a wellness product and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you suspect a sleep disorder, please consult a clinician.
Does RespireLabs record me all night?
Yes, however we neither listen to the sounds in your bedroom nor save them as audio files. Our AI converts breathing sounds into MEL-spectrograms β€” visual representations of audio frequencies that cannot be reversed back into audio. The AI analyses patterns in these images, not the sounds themselves. RespireLabs is designed so you control when a session is started and what is stored. Sensitive audio is treated as private and processed locally on your device by default.
The science

Your nose does more than you think.

Nasal breathing produces nitric oxide, a molecule that helps widen blood vessels and supports oxygen absorption. When you breathe through your mouth, you bypass this natural system entirely.

  • Filters, warms, and humidifies incoming air
  • Activates the parasympathetic nervous system for relaxation
  • Supports proper jaw and facial development
  • Helps maintain optimal CO2/O2 balance during sleep
Explore the science
Mouth Breathing High risk
  • Dry mouth and throat irritation
  • Disrupted sleep stages
  • Increased snoring frequency
Nasal Breathing Optimal
  • Natural air filtration and warming
  • Nitric oxide production
  • Better oxygen absorption
